Stella Victoria Lind

Funeral services for Stella Lind will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elim Home Chapel in Milaca with Rev. Tom Sahlstrom officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Serving as casketbearers will be John Woods, Jason Stoltz, David Trebesch, Daniel Trebesch, Matt Majiske, and George Kaspar. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery near Milaca. Stella Lind was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba June 20, 1915 to Stanley and Maria (Moxie) Sopel. At the age of one, her parents moved to Minneapolis where she attended Edison School for three years. Her mother died in 1922. Her father then moved to a farm by Day, finishing school there. In 1944, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Lind and they farmed in the Day area until 1959, when they moved to a farm near Milaca. In 1963, they moved to Milaca because of Lloyd’s health. To this union, a daughter was born. Stella passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Milaca Elim Home at the age of 98 years old. She is survived by her daughter, Arlene Trebesch of Milaca; two grandsons, Daniel (Sylvia) and David. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd; and two infant children.
