Harry Francis Rhoda

Mass of Christian Burial for Harry Rhoda, age 81, of Foreston, will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 11 AM at St. Louis Catholic Church in Foreston with Fr. Jim Remmerswaal, OSC officiating. Interment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM Monday at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca and 1hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Casketbearers will include Quinn Rhoda, Megan Lilja, Tonya Walker, Sara Rhoda, Jordan Rhoda, Samantha Tigner, Elizabeth Tigner, Ryan Rhoda, Ryley Rhoda, Jessica Zumwalde and Jonathan Zumwalde. Music will be provided by Jessica Zumwalde, Penny Rhoda and Ed Bauer. Harry Francis Rhoda was born December 8, 1931 in Granite Ledge Township, Benton County, MN to Felix and Theresa (Stolarcyk) Rhoda. He married Joane Helene Judd on June 18, 1956 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Brennyville, MN. Harry farmed his entire life. He was a supervisor for Milaca Township for over twenty years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding four-wheeler, playing cards, and most of all spending time with his family. Harry passed away at home on his farm northwest of Foreston on Saturday, June 22, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joane; children, Tom (Julie) of Foreston, Jill (Steve) Tigner of Minnetonka, David (Juliana) of Brainerd, Paul (Penny) of Morris, Peter (Vicki) of Foley, Lloyd of Foreston and Nancy (Brian) Zumwalde of Golden Valley; grandchildren, Quinn Rhoda of Garrison, Megan (Jeff) Lilja of Andover, Samantha and Elizabeth Tigner of Minnetonka, Hannah and Daniel Rhoda of Brainerd, Tonya Walker of Morgan, Sara Rhoda of Plymouth, Jordan Rhoda of Seattle, WA, Ryan and Ryley Rhoda of Foley and Jessica and Jonathan Zumwalde of Golden Valley; great-grandson, Charlie Lilja of Andover; sister, Corry (Justin) Jurek of Foley; also by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joseph.
