Anna Louise Yates, age 59, of Foreston, died peacefully in her sleep at her home on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer. A visitation will be from 3 - 6 PM Saturday, October 20 at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca. Anna Louise (Womack) Yates was born January 15, 1953 in Grayson, KY to Ellis and Hazel (Buck) Womack. She graduated from Pritchard High School and later attended Morehead University in Kentucky. She was united in marriage to Ronnie Yates in 1973 and they spent the next 25 years near various Army bases and 11 of the years in Germany. Ann moved to Minnesota 1998 where she worked for doctors that she had worked for in Germany. She met her fiancé, Bill Evans in 2001 and has resided with him until her passing Oct 16th. Ann loved cooking, entertaining friends, and watching sports events and especially Kentucky Basketball. You DID NOT talk when the Wildcats were on TV. She will be missed by all who knew her. Her kindness, generosity and respect for everyone she encountered will be sorely missed. Her love for animals of all kinds was unequaled. She would be happy if everyone would do something kind for a person in need or an animal that needs food or attention. Ann died peacefully in her sleep at her home after a long battle with cancer at the age of 59 years. Ann is survived by partner, Bill Evans and daughter, Tara (Glen) Yates-Gosse of Murfreesboro, KY. She will be missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Animal Humane Society. Funeral services will be held in Grayson, Kentucky at the Malone Funeral Home.
